Why is air duct cleaning needed?
A MVHR or MEV ventilation system runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, quietly moving air in and out of a home. Duct cleaning is recommended every 5 years after the 43,800 hours of air movement that it would have seen - after this time there will be a considerable build up inside the ducting that impacts system performance and indootr air quality

What’s included in AirCare+ Duct Cleaning?
AirCare+ is a comprehensive service for the entire system - completed in 3 stages including duct cleaning, sanitisation and full system/unit servicing:
CLEAN
Mechanical brushing and extraction. We use a specialist rotating brush combined with high-powered extraction to remove hidden dust and debris lining the ductwork.
SANITISE
NHS-grade anti-bacterial duct misting. Once debris is removed, a safe anti-bacterial mist is applied throughout the ducting routes to neutralise bacteria, mould spores and allergens.
SERVICE
Full MVHR or MEV unit service. We replace filters, clean all internal and external components, and fully test the system to ensure it's working effectively inside the home.

What other maintenance is required for MVHR and MEV systems?
MVHR Maintenance
- Full system service recommended annually
- Filter check or replacement every 6 months (or sooner, depending on location)
- If the unit shows error codes or isn’t performing effectively, a service or investigation may be required
- Deep duct clean recommended every 5 years
MEV Maintenance
- Full system service recommended annually
- Deep duct clean recommended every 5 years
